Brenda Bean I worked for the State of Vermont directly and indirectly (via sub-grantees) for 40 years plus a couple of years for other organizations, including City of Montpelier. Allegheny College '68-'69 + UVM '69-'72 = BA in liberal arts; Lesley College '89-'91 = MA in Counseling Psychology with Holistic Specialization. Much of the time I was a single parent. Central Vermont, mostly Montpelier. Vermont Natural Resources Council Retired My work for the VT Agency of Human Services involved writing and administering federal grants for improving the juvenile justice system, preventing delinquency, and promoting children's mental health. In 2016 married Phillip Morse, '69 MHS. We met when he moved to Montpelier after retirement from his work in Rutland. We live in the same condominium association and served together on its Board. Divorced since 1982 from Steven Patterson, '65 MHS; we were married in 1970. One child, Sarah Bean Patterson, born in 1979. Grandparent to her dog and horse! We enjoy ballroom dancing and singing at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center. Phil is in the choir at our Unitarian-Universalist church. We like to travel to warmer weather in winter but don't like missing our activities here! In high school I thought I wanted to be a guidance counselor; later I understood I was the one who needed guidance! Very grateful for subsequent counseling... 2017-12-12 19:27:15
