Went to New Mexico for BS in Nursing from UNM. Met my husband during college and married in 1972 before he served in the Nuclear Navy for five years. We then returned to NM and had our two children we raised in Santa Fe. Was in college in NM, returning to Vermont for three summers to work at Central Vermont Medical Center. Then I worked in NM part-time while finishing college. Got to go on VIP tour to top of Assembly Building at Cape Kennedy. Also sailed on a three-masted schooner for a day. In addition I got to be up in the sail of an FBM sub while on surface, and sat at the controls while underway on a working day while submerged. Besides Vermont, Connecticut briefly, Hawaii for six months, Virginia for two-and-a-half years, and New Mexico since 1976! Navy wife for five years! After college graduation I worked at Kapolani Children's Hospital in Honolulu, HI. Retired since 2010. I worked 37 years as a pediatric RN in a variety of venues - treatment center, hospital, public health clinics, a five-doctor private practice, and 27 years for the Santa Fe Public Schools! Yes, since 8-27-72. Spouse is John G. Stanke, met at UNM. He served in Nuclear Navy for five years, is an Electrical Engineer, and also has his Masters in Nuclear Engineering. Ivan T. Stanke, 39, a Mechanical Engineer and married two years to Sheri Sampson Stanke, a Chemical Engineer. They are in Key West, Florida. Natasha J. Stanke, 34, a Veterinary Boarded Surgeon in Clearwater, Florida. I'm married to an identical twin. Our families and children are very close. I enjoy having my own home business as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I also enjoy gardening, yardwork, cooking, sewing, biking, road trips, travel, snorkeling, snow skiing, and family! Loved the drama involvement working on crews. Ms. Silsby and Mr. Palermo inspired me to pursue a science field. Ms. Hall has had a lasting impression to love and appreciate art. My family climbed Long's Peak in Colorado in 1991 - 14,259 feet! 2018-02-08 11:05:37
